Allan Gordon Photo & Video was established in 1993. I am based in Ellon. I have filmed weddings in churches, hotels and castles around the North East area.

Furthermore, even if you choose the standard definition Widescreen package, you will be pleased to note that your wedding day will still be filmed in high definition. This both future proofs your wedding footage, and gives you the option to purchase a Blu-ray DVD following your wedding.

I can provide you with a unique and exclusive lasting visual record of your day, filmed creatively in a candid relaxed style. Widescreen Standard Definition and Blu-ray High Definition packages are now available. My ability to capture the moment without capturing everyone's attention is one of the reasons couples choose to book me to film their wedding day. Another reason is the unique digital special effects that I use. The effects, used where appropriate, add something extra to the finished product. However, to fully appreciate the difference, you really must view one of my unique widescreen wedding DVDs. In years to come you will want to see yourselves, important friends, and family members as they were, "live"  on that day.

When I say "the wedding DVD specialist" I really mean it!  I do not do training videos or corporate work. In addition, only a small number of weddings, 20 or less, are completed each year. Furthermore, I only offer this service between March/October each year. Therefore, book early to use my exclusive wedding DVD service.

I personally film, edit and create your wedding DVD. I do not sub contract out the filming of weddings. I only cover ONE wedding at a time. Your wedding is filmed using two 3 chip Sony™ Professional HD Widescreen Camera, with digital sound recorded using a professional microphone system. In addition, I also use a wireless mic to record the vows. Click here to view the camera.  The 2nd camera used for the ceremony & speeches is also a Sony™ 3 chip Professional HD Widescreen Camera.

When filming I try very much to stay in the background, so as not to intrude or cause camera shyness. I prefer to use the zoom lens of the camera to achieve close up shots, which appear more natural when done in this manner. This is done without missing those special moments that occur throughout the day. Indeed, many couples have stated that they had forgotten, and guests did not notice that I was actually filming on the day. The Blu-ray DVDs that I produce play on the Playstation 3™ and other Blu-Ray players. In addition, the Blu-ray HD DVDs feature a widescreen video still slide show with up to 50 images^.

Standard Package  approx one hour before the ceremony until 9.00pm*

Usual coverage normally includes:- Full Colour digitally produced titles, opening shots of ceremony venue, arrival of guests and bridal party, wedding service (if permitted), signing of the register. 
Bridal party and guests at the church, the photo session at the gardens, cutting the cake and receiving the guests. Top table arrival, speeches and dancing until 9.00pm. Slow motion romantic sequence, including black & white and sepia segments, and closing credits.

Your DVD is then digitally created, (approx 20 hours work) and presented to you, on return from your honeymoon, in a personalised case with pictures from the footage on the cover.
